Olive Ridley turtle carcass washed up on a beach. Thousands of turtles have died in the last decade, victims of trawlers plying illegally in the protected waters of the Gahirmatha Marine Sanctuary. In one season of bearing witness in Orissa, Greenpeace has documented over two thousand dead turtles in a 200km long stretch of the beach.
