Nuclear Action at Construction Site of Proposed Water Reactor in France
Greenpeace occupies EPR nuclear power station work-site cranes for a second day of action against the construction site of the Électricité de France’s (EDF) proposed new European Pressurized Water Reactor (EPR).
Thirty activists from six European nations, block the entrance to the site with trucks and occupied cranes and other construction equipment. They demand an immediate end to construction at both Flamanville in France and Europe's other EPR site at Olkiluoto, Finland, calling the plants dangerous, unnecessary and uneconomic.
