Activists from Greenpeace Mexico blocked the entrance of a ship that carried 40.000 tonnes of maize coming into Mexico from the US. The action took place at the harbor of Veracruz and it was taken to protest against the import of US genetically modified maize. Greenpeace is calling for an immediate ban on all US imports of maize into Mexico until proven GE-free.
