1988/89 trip to Antarctica. Includes Japanese whaling actions, actions at Dumont D'Urville and McMurdo bases plus visits to Leningradskya, Gondwana, Terra Nova bases.
In 1987 Greenpeace established the ‘World Park Base’ in Antarctica which stayed until 1991. The base was part of a 7 year campaign which concluded successfully with the Environmental protocol to the Antarctic treaty, an essential first step to protect the last (almost) untouched continent on this planet.
