A river inside Wehea Protected Forest Wehea Protected Forest in Muara Wahau, East Kutai Regency, East Kalimantan, the last remaining forest - a home for orangutans.
Wehea was declared a 'protected forest' in 2004 by the Wehea Dayak. The project receives a Kalpataru Award in 2009, an Indonesia's highest environmental honor. It is currently co-managed between the local Wehea Dayak people and from the village of Nehas Liah Bing and Wehea Management Body.
