Farmer Jim Keiper holds ears of maize from his fields In Atkins. The two ears on the right are from last years crop, the three on the left are this years. He said that even though the stalks look green, but the crops are really stressed. Some didn't even pollinate. Some looked mutated - the kernels are not even in size.
