Energy Petition Delivered to Government

Members of a variety of environmental and community groups including Greenpeace, Te Whanau a Apanui, Oil Free Otago, and Forest and Bird - hand in a 140,000 signature-strong petition, calling for the Government to abandon its fossil fuels agenda in favour of a clean energy future in Wellington, New Zealand.

Greenpeace NZ is campaigning to end the Government's support of developing climate-wrecking fossil fuel resources, which is central to its economic vision. Instead, the Government is being encouraged to support the many local clean energy and energy efficiency entrepreneurs that could one day be exporting their products overseas
