Schweiz, Zürich, 8.6.2013: Weltweit finden am Wochenende zahlreiche Solidaritätsaktionen zugunsten der türkischen Demonstranten statt. Auch in der Schweiz, hier im Blattspitz Park in Zürich, setzten am Samstag Nachmittag Greenpeace-Freiwillige und Sympathisanten ein friedliches Zeichen für mehr Mitbestimmung und Umweltschutz in der Türkei. In Bern, Zürich, Genf und im Jura fanden sogenannte flashmobs statt.

Greenpeace condemns the brutal police clampdown on the peaceful Gezi Park protest. What started as a simple peaceful protest against the destruction of an iconic, and historic, park has grown into a wider struggle for Turkish democracy. A question of whether the country puts people and natural environment before commerce and profit.
