Farming near a Slag Heap in Sichuan
Residents who live close to the Jinhe Phosphate Chemical Plant have no choice and grow vegetables in these contaminated fields surrounding the facility. Greenpeace investigators estimate that this pile of phosphate slag heap is only 10 meters away from Tingjiang Village's nearest field. Tingjiang Village, Shifang City, Sichuan Province.
