Fukushima Anniversary Protest in Toronto
Greenpeace activists use placards reading 'Make Nuclear Polluters Pay' at the uranium processing facility of General Electric Hitachi Nuclear Energy (GE Hitachi) in downtown Toronto to mark the upcoming anniversary of the Fukushima disaster. GE, Toshiba and Hitachi are the three companies that, despite designing, building and maintaining the known dangerous Fukushima Daiichi plant, have paid nothing for the nuclear disaster. Greenpeace is calling for laws to be changed to ensure all companies involved to be accountable for nuclear disasters.
