Villagers from Mahan gather to celebrate the annual Dih Baba Puja Festival.
Greenpeace has been engaged in a long running campaign against the proposed open cast coal mining in the area which threatens many people whose lives and livelihoods are dependent on the Mahan forests. Their culture, community and lives are intertwined with the forests that would be destroyed by the coal industry.
