Reef Investigation in Apo Island
Area of reef destroyed by Typhoon Pablo (in December 2012) at the Marine Protected Area (MPA) of Apo Island.
An increase in severity of extreme weather events is one of the predicted effects of climate change. Divers from Silliman University, Coastal Conservation and Education foundation, and Greenpeace surveyed the massive coral damage in Apo Island. The documentation of Apo island reef is one of the activities Greenpeace has taken part in during her tour in the Philippines.
