Greenpeace activists protest against the coal policy of the SPD (Social Democrats). Activists display a banner in front of a party convention in Augsburg. Banners read: "SPD supporters ask for phasing out of coal" and "Phasing out of coal by 2040". A survey commissioned by Greenpeace revealed that the majority of Germans want to back out of coal based power generation by 2040. Also 80 percent of SPD supporters wish a phasing out of coal power.
