Detox Cat Walk Action in Mexico
Mexican TV presenter Claudia Lizaldi speaks during the launch of Greenpeace's 2012 Detox campaign in Mexico City.
Mexican celebrities have shown their support to the Detox campaign in a Greenpeace 'cat walk' action. They wore clothes from various brands tested and featured in the Greenpeace report "Toxic Threads - The Big Fashion Stitch-Up". The report details how big brands are forcing consumers to buy clothes that contain hazardous chemicals and that contribute toward toxic water pollution both when they are made, and when they are washed. Eventually the celebrities stripped down to organic underwear bearing the message "No Toxics in My Clothes".
