Hurricane Sandy Solar Relief in US
Greenpeace partnered with Occupy Sandy to provide relief for the people of Rockaway in the Queens Borough of New York in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. Weeks after the superstorm devastated coastal areas of New Jersey and New York, thousands remain without power in wind and flood damaged homes. Greenpeace is helping provide electricity for a donation collection and distribution center and medical clinic as well as charging cellphones and lighting up a small patch of the neighborhood.
