Greenpeace wants to give our “next generation” a voice concerning the conflict about genetic engineering and holds a petition together with Austrian school kids and youth groups. Children and teenagers until 18 years old are not allowed to participate in the official referendum concerning genetic engineering. On account of this, Greenpeace is organising a “Greenpeace Youth Referendum” on GE soya.

Um auch der zukünftigen Generation eine „Stimme“ im Konflikt um die Gentechnik zu verleihen, will Greenpeace gemeinsam mit den wichtigsten österreichischen Schüler und Jugendorganisationen eine großangelegte Unterschriftenaktion ins Leben rufen: Da Kinder und Jugendliche bis 18 Jahre vom Gentechnik-Volksbegehren ausgeschlossen sind, gibt Greenpeace rund einen Monat vor der Eintragungswoche des Gentechnik Volksbegehren, grünes Licht für das „Greenpeace Gentechnik Volksbegehren“.
