Released by Greenpeace China in collaboration with wind energy experts from the Chinese Renewable Energy Industries Association (CREIA), and the Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC), the China Wind Power Outlook 2010 report highlights China's potential to become a world leader in renewable energy and advocates for policies to support the development of wind power. In researching this report, Greenpeace investigated wind power bases all over the country, witnessing the robust development of China's wind power and its harmonious co-existence with the local environment. Greenpeace calls for the national government to implement a clear and definitive long-term plan for wind power, including an ambitious development target. China is at a crossroads. It can choose between the dirty, dangerous world of coal and fossil fuels, or the new, clean future promised by wind.
