Arctic Under Pressure Expedition - The Acid Test

Arctic Under Pressure Expedition - The Acid Test

Collection
GP022V9
06/04/2010
In the biggest ocean acidification experiment of its kind, Greenpeace is working with German marine research institute IFM-GEOMAR, in the High Arctic where the effects of CO2 pollution will be felt first and hardest. Nine large "mesocosms" are being used as giant test-tubes to model the future effects of acidification of our oceans. The unique experiment takes place in Kongsfjord near the scientific research station of Ny-Ålesund.
