Collection: Tar Sands Actions at Suncor Facility Canada (All Photographers)

GP02093
Greenpeace activists from Canada, France, Germany and Brazil occupy two conveyor belts used to transfer bitumen from an open pit mine to a processing plant owned by Canadian oil giant Suncor, demanding the closure of the tar sands.
Tar sands oil is the dirtiest on the planet, emitting 3-5 times the emissions of conventional oil in production alone.
