Collection: VW Actions at Paris Motor Show (All Photographers)

GP0ALBCX
Greenpeace activists interrupt the launch of VW’s new Golf 7 at the world’s biggest car show in Paris by dropping a banner from the ceiling above the VW stand with the message “Volkswagen: Drop the Smokescreen!” while other activists hold placards and smoke begins to hiss out of the brand new Golf display by the carmaker. The activists create the smoke to emulate dirty car exhaust. Greenpeace activists also unfurl banners reading "Volkswagen : drop the smokescreen" and "CO2 : Das problem" just above the entrance of the Paris Motor Show on the opening day.
This action is the latest in an ongoing campaign by Greenpeace urging Volkswagen to stop blocking and start backing new European car efficiency laws, which aim to cut both motorists fuel bills, and Europe’s carbon footprint.
