In February 2014 the two marine biologists Thilo Maack from Greenpeace and Rainer Borcherding from the "Schutzstation Wattenmeer" (Wadden Sea Conversation Centre) in Hörnum on the Isle of Sylt (North Sea) search the beach for plastic waste. They pile up several findings and talk about the consequences that the rising amount of plastic waste has, not only on the birds and animals but also on the ecosystem and human beings. Film includes a dissection of a fulmar, that died of hunger because it's stomach is full of plastic waste and no room for nutrition. Soundbites in German.

Sie finden Massen von Plastikmüll und erläutern die Folgen, die die steigende Menge von Kunststoffabfällen, nicht nur für Seevögel und Meerestiere, sondern auch für das gesamte Ökosystem und den Menschen hat.
