Shoot: "There's A Monster in My Kitchen" Animation
GP1SUF4X
"Monster", the sequel to Rang-Tan, a new short film from Greenpeace made with four-time Academy Award®, Golden Globe®, BAFTA and Emmy nominated animation studio Cartoon Saloon and independent creative agency Mother, to support our mission to end the role of industrial meat in deforestation and climate change, and to challenge the companies who are responsible.
Monster is a powerful horror story of a little boy who finds a scary ‘monster’ in his kitchen - a huge jaguar. Voiced by acclaimed Brazilian actor Wagner Moura (who played Pablo Escobar in Narcos), ‘Jag-wah’ reveals that he’s here to warn the little boy. The real Monsters are in fact the industrial meat companies burning down his forest home and destroying natural habitats to grow animal feed for meat. The realisation that industrial meat is the biggest cause of global deforestation leads the little boy to decide to “eat more plants and veggies” and to “fight these Monsters so our planet can renew”.
