Shoot: Rainbow Warrior Asia Toxics Tour

GP05LA
The shoot includes images of two days action against Hong Kong
Government's "dioxin generating" waste management policy by occupying a waste barge and hanging banner from the top of its crane to physically block its operation. Banners: "Ban the Burn" and "Stop POP's, Recycle Now". The Rainbow Warrior was docked alongside the Tsing Chau waste barge. The action followed the protest at Tsing Yi Chemical Waste treatment Centre, where the Government is planning to utilize its spare incineration capacity to burn medical waste, which would be source of dioxin, mercury and other toxic substances.
