As Obama Administration officials assessed the impacts of the Gulf oil disaster in Louisiana, Greenpeace activists boarded the Shell Oil drilling support ship Harvey Explorer in Port Fourchon to send a message to U.S. Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar. Activists used crude oil from the BP Deepwater Horizon oil spill to paint the message “Arctic Next?” on the ship, which was scheduled to depart for Alaska to support drilling operations in July.
