The four Greenpeace activists in police custody in Aasiaat, Greenland. The activists had occupied for 2 days the Stena Don oil rig in the Arctic owned by Cairn Energy. The action was part of the "Go Beyond Oil" Esperanza ship tour to expose and confront the oil industry's race to develop deep sea drilling for oil in order to avoid environmental disasters like the Deepwater Horizon oil spill. Companies like BP are taking massive risks to drill in ever more dangerous places rather than investing in clean energy to stop climate change.
