Local activists joined with Greenpeace and the DC Collective, who are both in the twelfth day of a hunger strike, to hold a solidarity vigil at the Indian Embassy to support survivors of the 1984 Bhopal gas disaster. These actions are the latest in a seventeen year struggle for justice from Union Carbide, the U.S. multinational corporation responsible for the chemical gas disaster, and its new owner, the Dow Chemical Company.
