Shoot: NASA Wildfires in US

GP0STPDAU
As of August 6, outbreaks of large wildfires had charred more than 6 million acres, nearly two million more than the ten-year average through early August. The causes of these devastating fires is the unusually severe drought and strong storms. The views of wildfires from orbiting satellite are provided by NASA through its web site: http://earthobservatory.nasa.gov/Images/?eocn=topnav&eoci=images.
