Shoot: Hot Air Balloon over Site of Illegal Olive Tree Felling in Turkey

GP0STPJ0E
Nearly a year after controversial events in Yirca, Turkey, Greenpeace activists fly a hot air balloon over a site where Kolin Group illegally cut down 6,000 olive trees to make room for a coal power plant.
The activist group flew the balloon 300 feet in the air with a giant “Coal Takes Lives” banner to protest the effects of burning coal to human health and the environment. Members of the public joined the activists on the ground to open up a separate banner that read “Choose life, not coal.”
