Shoot: Heatwave in Washington DC

GP0STQ241
Washington DC has experienced oppressive heat and humidity this summer, with temperatures in the high 90's and heat indexes past 100 degrees. However, despite the uncomfortable heat, tourists and residents of DC have been spending a lot of time outside, finding ways to stay cool.

This hot summer has also impacted local wildlife. Because of such high temperatures, fish living in the lake of Constitution Gardens of the National Mall have died, resulting in an unappealing smell but a feast for birds and other creatures.
