Greenpeace Africa visited the three coastal blocks put up for auction from 17 to 23 April 2023 and held discussions with group leaders, village chiefs, notables, youth representatives, councillors and non-governmental organisations in the various blocks located in the territories of Moanda and Lukula, in the province of Congo-Central.
We went to the 3 coastal blocks and according to the distribution of each block, the villages visited:
- Matamba-Makanzi II block: Groupement Malela (village of Malela), Groupement Kinbanza (village of Kinbanza),
- Block Yema II: Groupement Malemba (village of Malemba), village of Matamba-Makanzi
- Nganzi block: Buku Minanga village, Reboisement village

The territory of Moanda includes 3 sectors, all of which are concerned by oil exploration. These are the sectors of La Mer (Makasamba), Asolongo (Kitona) and Bomabungu (chief town Km8).
