Shoot: Distress Smoke Signal on Orano’s Nuclear Facility in La Hague (Video)
GP0STSYA4
A drone flown by Greenpeace activists placed a distress smoke signal on the roof of the spent fuel pool of Orano’s (former Areva) nuclear facility in La Hague located in North West of France. They intend to highlight the risk of saturation and vulnerability of this pool. Indeed, this building contains the equivalent of a hundred irradiated nuclear cores. However, its metal roof is far too fragile to protect this pool full of radioactive waste in case of a malicious airborne act.
