Shoot: Papaya For The King On World Environment Day

GP01Q0Q
Farmers from Thailand and Hawaii were joined by Greenpeace volunteers in planting 60 organic vegetables to mark World Environment Day. Greenpeace is campaigning against the release of genetically engineered papaya into the environment because it does not have proper risks assessment for human and for the environment. Ms Patwajee Srisuwan, a Greenpeace campaigner, and Dr Jiragorn Gajaseni, former Executive Director of Greenpeace Southeast Asia, are currently facing criminal charges after exposing the GMO contamination of papaya farms in Thailand.
