Shoot: Mangroves Action At CNET in Mexico

GP01J73
Greenpeace activists cover the entrance doors of the National Council of Touristic Businessmen building with signs reading: “CNET: Don't destroy the mangroves”. The protest is held against the tourism developers who are attempting to push the Mexican legislators to weaken the law that protects the mangroves’ fragile ecosystem. The country's mangroves, which currently encompass 2.2 million acres (886,760 hectares), are being lost to development at a rate of 25,000 acres (10,000 hectares) annually.
