Shoot: Toxics Action at Tessenderlo Chemie in Belgium

GP01NK2
Greenpeace protests against Tessenderlo Chemie for dumping enormous amounts of highly toxic waste water in some basins, that empty through nine discharge points in the surrounding small rivers. At 15th of September the Flemish Water Treatment Company decided to withdraw all existing discharge permits of the chemical company. For the time being the danger is over that Tessenderlo will dump its unpurified waste water through the waste water collector (smeerpijp) in the river Schelde. Greenpeace urges Tessenderlo Chemie to filter the waste water before dumping.
