Shoot: Toxics Action Bonfol Waste Barrels Returned to Sender in Switzerland

GP01U2P
About 20 Greenpeace activists returned “Barrel nr 4 and 5”, filled with contaminated water from the toxic dump site in Bonfol, to the headquarters of companies Clariant and Novartis. Greenpeace has been occupying the Bonfol landfill the last 4 weeks. The activists want to point out that the chemical companies are unwilling to clean up their toxic dump site in Bonfol. In the meantime an exhibition "Farbe zu Licht" in Riehen is being sponsored by Clariant while Novartis is trying to make itself look better by a special exhibition “Korea” in the Rietberg Museum in Zurich. Greenpeace returned several toxic barrels from Bonfol back to their senders the past weeks and will continue the struggle for an immediate total clean up of the toxic landfill. Activists are dressed in costumes portraying a ‘manager’ on the front and ‘death’ on the backside. These costumes symbolize the double standards of the mega-multinational Novartis.
