Shoot: Nuclear Action Borssele Power Plant in the Netherlands

GP01L08
Twenty Greenpeace activists, disguised as Romans, enter the ground of the nuclear power plant Borssele in Zeeland. They hold a banner with the text 'Als de Romeinen kerncentrales hadden, moesten wij nu nog hun kernafval bewaken', which translates to English as 'If the Romans had nuclear power plants, we still had to watch over their nuclear waste'. With this action Greenpeace protests against the plans of the Dutch government to keep the nuclear power plant Borssele open till 2033. Greenpeace finds this very irresponsible, because a nuclear power plant is an easy target for terroristic attacks and can never be protected for one hundred percent. In addition nuclear waste remains highly dangerous for 240,000 years. Greenpeace demands that the government closes Borssele and invests serious in safe and positive energy from sun, wind and biomass.
